The dog bed
product launch.
The Dog Bed was one of the first products we launched on TN.COM that utilized our new product page template.
I believe that working within a template doesn’t have to be limiting. Curated images + copy helped us provide a seamless user experience to any customer looking for a pet bed.
Role
UX/UI Design, Visual Design, Art Direction

To take this project from start to finish, we first met within our cross-functional team to discuss the scope of the project, timeline, and determine a launch date. My process included competitor research, sketching user flows, product shots, and wireframes, working with a copywriter to determine the page flow and outline, and collaborating with our developer on the project to see it to the finish line.

Before starting the design, we needed to consider the content that would live on the page. I art directed and assisted with the product photoshoot. The following are sketches from early on in the shot ideation process.

It was important to consider the audience we were targeting and think about what kind of information a pet owner might be looking for when considering purchasing a dog bed.

To determine which product features we wanted to call out in our details section, I collaborated with our copywriter on the project, Brea DeMore.
Results and takeaways.
We successfully launched the Dog Bed in November 2019. Since the launch of this product, we have sold out many times, and it continues to be a hit.
This project reminded me of the importance of determining flow and content before design. Because the content of the page was so considered (though design + copy collaboration), the process of creating the page was effortless.
